Activism

Activism

Shakila’s activism is as a result of personal experiences of adversity while growing up in the UK. She places her activism much like her art, creativity and resistance against authority, at the heart of her activism. She is an artist by background, has often, together with others mobilised with groups and individuals to voice dissent and creative ownership of the struggles waged.
